Black cherry fruit with earth and cinnamon woven into a spicy finish. Will continue developing for another 6-8 years.
Tasting notes: Dark ruby color; Sweet cherry blossom nose; flavors of dark cherry fruit with cinnamon and earth on a long finish. Medium tannins on finish.
A complex elegant Pinot Noir, the 2010 Yamhill Villages follows the designation made in Burgundy for a village wine. This cool weather Pinot Noir displays Rainier cherry and raspberry fruit mingled with mineral, herbs and a spicy finish. As a village wine, you get complexity at a reasonable price.

(15% alcohol): Bright ruby-red. Intense, spice-accented aromas of candied red fruits, Asian spices and licorice, with a suave floral topnote. Sappy, palate-staining raspberry and cherry-cola flavors show very good depth and pick up a smoky quality with air. Dusty tannins add grip to the long, sweet, pliant finish. Sizable pinot but I don’t detect any excess warmth.

Deep red. Cherry-vanilla and blackberry on the pungent, spice-accented nose and palate. Lush and supple on entry, then firmer in the middle, showing very good depth and energy on the finish. Demonstrates the power and structure of the vintage but the tannins here are surprisingly supple, making for strong upfront appeal.
With the 2014 vintage, Stag Hollow’s Tempranillo came into production (at 47 cases) and sold out on futures in a few days around the 2014 Thanksgiving holidays. With the 2015 vintage, the Tempranillo nearly doubled its production and this spring we are offering futures on the 2015.
Unfortunately our wine order form can’t handle the different pricing of futures in 6 bottle packs and 12 bottle packs. Futures must be ordered either by phone (503.662.5609) or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will send you an invoice from which you can pay using a link in the invoice. This is secured by Intuit (the makers of Quickbooks and TurboTax) and will also let you keep a record of your orders online.
Pricing: $138 – 6 bottle pack; $252 – 12 bottle pack. To be released May 2017 for pick up or shipping (at additional cost).
Following the Italian tradition of tagging Dolcettos with a region or town of origin, Stag Hollow added “d’Yamhill” (of Yamhill) for our Dolcetto grown at our vineyard near the town of Yamhill. We added “Superiore” to indicate that this is the cream of the crop from the 2013 vintage.
Blackberry fruit flavors combine with leather, black pepper and a spicy finish that make this wine a winner with spicy pasta e fagiole, marinara sauce and other Italian-style il primo (first course – often pasta or risotto) or il segundo (second course – usually meat-based or heavier dishes).
A proprietary blend of Pinot Noir, Dolcetto, Tempranillo, Lemberger, and Chardonnay to create a rich and complex red table wine. Sold only at Stag Hollow, this wine has become a favorite of customers looking for an affordable flavorful red wine for everyday drinking.
Flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and ripe red plum mingle with hints of black pepper and herbs. This is a substantial wine for the price, which we keep low by only selling it from the tasting room or online.
