Dolcetto

Planted in 1991, Stag Hollow is among the first in Oregon to grow and produce wines from Dolcetto grape.

Stag Hollow makes three different bottlings from the Dolcetto grape: Dolcetto d’Yamhill, Dolcetto d’Yamhill Superiore, and Dolcetto Rosato.

The Dolcetto grape, originally hailing from the Piedmont in northern Italy, produces dark-colored medium bodied wines that show cherry flavors, with notes of leather and tea, and hints of marzipan.  Dolcetto is a wine of “daily pleasure”.
